Truth & Beauty

I just finished a book called Truth and Beauty by Ann Patchett. I highly recommend it. Ann Patchett is actually a pretty well-known author, but this is the true story of her friendship with her best friend who had a horrible childhood cancer. It's their story, which is an amazing one, through Lucy's (the friend) multiple surgeries and as they're faced with a lot of adult things including men and drug addictions. It's a beautiful story, and very sad in the end, and I cried more than a few times through it. It rings true to probably every woman who shares good and bad times with her best friend and that is why I enjoyed it so much and why I recommend it.
I also just finished The Devil Wears Prada, and it was an okay book. I wasn't overly thrilled with it, but if you're just looking for something fluffy to read, it's not a bad choice :)
